Writing Prompt #1

 Write About Your Best Friends.

First, is my mother. Sometimes, she makes me wish I were dead. But other times, she's all I have. And of course she's always there when I need her. I just wish I could be completely open with her about everything all the time like some girls can be with their mothers. She's strong-willed and very stubborn, she always has to do things her way, she criticizes and judges even when she tries not to, and all the boys my age think she's the hottest mom on planet Earth. It gets annoying occasionally. She's funny and remembers the small details, and I guess she's pretty cool most of the time, even though she's mildly bipolar.

Secondly, is Bailey. Bailey is funny, sweet, sometimes just a little rude, but I love her anyway. She and I became fast friends and spent a lot of time together this summer. She is different from almost anyone I've ever meet, and is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. We had so many adventures in such a short span of time, and I can't wait for her to visit from college again.

Cara, my road tripping and bible study buddy, is my cousin and constant companion. We did not used to get along as well as we do now, however, I find that she is one of the very few people I can trust. She is kind and strong willed, always knowing exactly what she wants or needs. It's this reason I love her so much. She does no harm, but takes no shit.

Ellen is someone I would call my sister soul. She is almost the exact same person as me, she knows how I think because she thinks the same way . I don't ever have to explain what I'm feeling about something because she feels the same. It's almost like she has taken permanent residence in my brain. She is the first one I go to when I have a problem, and she's the first one to read these posts, because I trust her more than most.

Dafney has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We were completely and totally inseparable throughout grade school and junior high. We began to fall off in the start of Highschool, but we've repaired our relationship since then. Dafney listens without needing to throw input into the conversation, she's the life of the party, and she always knows just how to cheer me up.

Lastly, Emilee is the protector. There is no one else I would so glady hand over my life to, knowing I would be safe from all harm. She is fierce, she gets her way about 98% of the time, and she absolutely will not stand for anyone (besides her) picking on me. She comes over to my house just to play on her phone and go to sleep at 10:30. She is chaos and calm all wrapped up into one person.

All these people are people who I never even thought would be my good friends, much less my best friends, but things change and we grow from our roots. We often branch out and are drawn to those who help us blossom into the people we were meant to be.
